Why this initiative?
The memorial initiative is established to address some historical omissions that so far, have had little presence for UK and Commonwealth populations. As a dedication to the Service Men and Women from the African and Caribbean Commonwealth Nations who played heir role for Britain during World WAr I and World War II, it is the only commemoration of its kind in the UK and Europe.

The African and Caribbean Memorial Souvenir Book – Remembered. Published June 2017 This is a hard cover book with a number of essays about how the African and Caribbean experiences in world war I and II, and the aftermath. Included are letters from the Queen, politicians and others of note.
